The Power in Accountability
What’s the difference between “accountability” and “blame?” Once you know the difference, which one has more impact in your life? Why do so many people hate the word accountability? As Carole shares in this powerful 90-seconds, the word accountability is often confused with blame
Someone has to be to blame for the situations, circumstances, or decisions that don’t necessarily go your way in life.
But if that’s the case, you’ve surrendered you power to blame rather than your true desire and passion.
How can you look at it differently:
- Realize that accountability is a powerful position and perspective. Your ability to choose is fully activated.
- Understand that blame is a powerless position, removing you from responsibility for the things that happen in your life.
- Identify the construct from which “blame” begins – the child construct of absolved responsibility. “Somebody is to blame and someone will be blamed.”
The minute you start take accountability, you’re now a part, cause, source, or agent of your own result.
It’s a big shift that will help you create BIG change!
